In college you will want to join so many things, yet you will never have time for it all. Eventually you will have to learn how to manage homework, clubs and a job.
The first organization I have joined is RHAA, Residence Halls Apartment Association, so everyone who goes represents their halls or apartments. We also use some sort of legislation. Whoever is there, all comes up with problems or ways we can all live together a lot easier.
The second one I love to do is SGA, Student Government Association, it is made up of student senators, and executive chairs. The meetings are also very open to the public if you ever wanted to see what you are getting into before actually joining. As a student senator, you would have to hold two office hours a week and join at least two committees. I have joined Community Outreach and Recreation and Athletics.
The last organization I have joined EPIC, which plans events in our area of where our res halls and apartments are. We actually planner our first event and I am super excited for it to go down.
With all of these amazing orgs, I also have a job. Yet the great thing about working is that it is also on campus and they let me choose the days I work, so I work around the days my orgs have meetings. But joining an organization is so rewarding, because you will meet so many great people and so many opportunities can open up to me.
