10 Reasons Geminis AREN'T The Worst Sign

It's no secret that the most HATED sign of the zodiacs is the Gemini. We are always accused of being two-faced, stuck up, bipolar and just overall assholes. While the stars may give hints of that here and there, are horoscopes always say otherwise. We are generally really sweet people that would never mean harm to anyone, until they mean harm to us. So, to be CONSTANTLY on all those posts as "100% evil" or "most likely to stab you in the back" it hurts our "black hole" hearts. But here are X reasons that Gemini's are actually the best signs.

We are dedicated friends.

Seriously, if we love you, we *really* love you! We give our friends everything we've got because they truly deserve it.

We are kick ass cooks.

Not just tooting my own horn here, but I've never met a Gemini that couldn't cook a delicious meal.

We are pretty easy going.

Honestly, we don't care what we do as long as we are with the people we love. We're happy if you just ask us to go to the grocery store with you. It doesn't matter to us.

We're secretly smart af.

Honestly, it may not seem like it because we tend to reserve ourselves at times, but Gemini's are super smart. Even if we don't know about a specific topic, we will later educate ourselves on said topic so that we know about it for later.

Speaking of knowledge, we are really observant.

If you ever pick up on a Gemini not talking and just looking around, don't fret right away. They're probably observing and soaking up as much information as they can.

Our "fake" senses are 9/10 pretty strong.

We can tell the difference when someone is being fake nice and real nice, especially when it's to our own friends and family. If we get a bad vibe from someone, you should probably trust us. Or at least be on your toes.

While we may take our time to fully commit to a relationship, once we're in, we are IN.

We might be super distant at first, but it's because we don't know what to expect. But when a Gemini falls in love with you...ask my boyfriend. Gemini's don't just fall, they fall hard.

We are fairly adventurous.

I love staying in, ask anyone. But when the opportunity for an adventure pops up, I'm the first one to job ready for action.

We have a sarcastic, but really funny humor.

Okay, so this could be taken as good or bad depending on your personality. But seriously, Gemini's are funny as hell. We are sarcastic and complete smart asses so, take that as you may.

We are kind of weird sometimes, but we are the best kinds of weird.

Okay, my friends and family (basically anyone who knows me) can back this up. I'm not the most normal person on the planet. You'll often find me laying on the floor or upside down on the couch. We are weird, but the fun weird where you are never bored!

The Ice Will Break Your Fall

Last weekend, Pullman hosted the annual Apple Cup football game between WSU and University of Washington at Martin Stadium. Although, the conclusion may not have been what Cougs had hoped for, at least something comical came from the experience!

Any WSU student knows that the low winter temperatures in Pullman are a yearly inconvenience, but it is the ice that continuously freezes over that proves to be the enemy. Besides the heated pathways on campus, icy sidewalks are dangerous territory. It is common to see fellow Cougs slipping and sliding, and occasionally wiping out, all over campus. It is actually pretty funny. Last year, there was even a video on YouTube that reached over 40,000 hits. Re-live it, below.

I started out my athletic career trying out multiple different options. I tried ballet, but little three-year-old me got bored too quickly and decided to terminate that route, (kudos to my friends who stuck with dance because it really is a beautiful thing). One time, mom had me do golf lessons. That, too, was short-lived. I wasn’t terribly coordinated, patient, or quiet, so golf was also not the sport for me. I even tried out gymnastics for a few years. As the only fourth grader who was 5’9’’, the gymnast life was also not the right fit for me. My favorite childhood athletic activity was soccer. I thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of putting on the shin pads, the jersey, lacing up my soccer cleats and playing out with all my friend on the field. Soccer quickly became my favorite past time, and actually lasted with me up through my sophomore year of high school. Sometimes life can be disappointing, though. I played soccer for a solid thirteen years and never made it off of the junior varsity team. So… I switched to track and field. I ran track in middle school and figured why not try it out in high school as well. As it turned out, not choosing to run high school track and field earlier in my high school year was a big mistake. Track, at N.P.H.S., was honestly one of the best things to ever happen to me and I wish I would have joined soon in high school. It not only taught me physical strength but emotional strength and the importance teamwork as well. To be on a team like that is also to be a part of an incredibly supportive and talented community. It broke my heart when academics got in the way my freshman year of college, and track no longer became an option for me to participate in. (I wasn’t being lazy, I have a double major and minor, so there was virtually no way for me to give 100% to both). However, even though I may not still be running with a track team, I still hold the values and mentality that my high school track team has taught me.
