Anyone with a birthday from May 21st to June 20th knows what time of year it is: Gemini season! That's right, us two-faced, crazy b*tches are here to screw up each and every day with our bad attitudes and general indecisiveness that makes figuring out where to go to eat a nightmare.
Except that's not entirely true, and we're not all psycho. Every sign has its strengths and weaknesses, but for some reason, it seems that Geminis are targeted specifically for the negatives that come with our star sign.
I know all the memes about us circulating around Facebook are fun (I've laughed at some before!), but when you meet a Gemini, give us the benefit of the doubt and don't give up on us because of our perceived shortcomings.
We might be restless, jumping from one thing to another, but we're curious people who enjoy intellectual challenges. It's no fun to stay focused on one hobby or subject for a long period of time. We enjoy variety and are most likely to be jacks of all trades, masters of none!
Just because we're Geminis does not mean we can't or won't stay loyal to our partner. There's a myth that we're scared of romantic commitment which stems from our restlessness and curiosity. Don't doubt or suspect us solely because of stereotypes about our sign.
Geminis are not notoriously late for everything, I promise. I'm early 90% of the time to work, 9% on time, and 1% late (even admitting that makes me feel guilty!). I take that sh*t seriously. If I say we're hanging out at 8 p.m. and you aren't here, I get annoyed. Time is of the essence, dudes, no matter what it is!
There's a misconception that we're jokesters and can't take anyone or anything seriously, that we're just here to have a good time and to ignore our and other people's problems. Geminis have hearts underneath our sometimes sarcastic and playful exteriors. We care about the world around us and the people in it. Our emotions mean a lot to us, not only to understand but to experience. Bottling things up is not something we do willingly.
Most of us are not two-faced, backstabbing liars who can't settle down and enjoy talking over others. Every sign has its vices, and there are plenty of people who aren't Geminis that fit that description perfectly.
So remember, folks: Geminis can be outgoing and genuinely friendly! Talk to us, hang out with us, get to know us, and we'll overlook your sign's vices, too, for giving us a shot.
