If you’ve never seen "Game of Thrones," drop whatever you are doing and head over to HBO.com for six seasons of epic binging. I’ll say it: "Game of Thrones" is my favorite show.
Maybe it’s the complex plot, the thought-provoking moral arguments, the three-dimensional characters, or perhaps it’s the phenomenal writing. Any way you slice it, 'Game of Thrones' is a show worth watching.
That being said, if you’re caught up all the way to season six, episode three, you know that there’s a lot going on in this series. The twisting plots and dramatic scenes only add to the overall awesomeness. But my favorite thing about this season is (spoiler alert) Jon Snow is not dead.
Snow has been a memorable character since the very first season of "Game of Thrones," and I think every die-hard fan remembers the day that he was branded a traitor and killed “for the watch. ”My tear ducts and Twitter exploded.
But thanks to a little Martin Magic, (George R.R. Martin that is) our beloved watchman is back and still kicking major booty. So what can we expect to see in the upcoming season?
Hopefully, some victories for the Stark family.
Sansa is on her way to safety, but Arya’s life has taken quite a turn for the worse. As for Bran and Rickon, they’re still off on their prophetic adventure, but I think (and hope) that we’ll be seeing much more of them in this season.
Personally, I would love to see Snow have his revenge on Thorne and everyone else that (quite literally) stabbed him in the back, but I have a feeling that using Ghost to punish traitors isn’t exactly Jon’s style. That’s a bit more Lannister-istic.
Speaking of the Lannisters, I have to say that I’m getting really tired of them. I have never liked Jamie Lannister, and I’m sorry to say that I’m hoping for his demise this season. Or at least a separation from Cersei. Sorry, not sorry.
I would like to see Sansa take more of a leadership role. I would like to see her step up to the plate as a Stark child and become more self-sufficient. She’s made leaps and bounds in the past two seasons, but I think there’s more room for improvement.
That being said, I believe that some of the key characters are weaving themselves a web around King’s Landing. I can only hope that Tyrion, Daenerys, Jon and the Stark babies start making some headway towards one another. Many people have died to get to where we are now, but the remaining players have the power to tip the scale. The pieces are ready and the board is set in the "Game of Thrones."
