Valentine’s Day is on the horizon, but the celebration I needed all of my life is Galentine’s Day.

Valentine's Day with your boo is cute and all, but have you ever had a Galentine's?

February 14th is one of those holidays where people are either mushy gushy in love, or watching 50 shades of grey on repeat with a bucket of ice cream and 3 of her closest friends.

But forget worrying about your relationship status when Valentine’s Day rolls around. Galentine’s Day can be celebrated by women who are single or coupled. It’s all about having a great time.

Galentine's is where you set up a date either on/after/around February 14th just for the girls. You order in food, get that gallon of ice cream, drink those margaritas, watch all the chick-flicks, and talk about the boys (or man) in your life.

Now.. be prepared for that "one" friend (and by that, I mean me) that may start getting sappy about how they miss their boyfriend and wish they were there (yeah it sucks, but get over it). Just give them a break because they're in love and you have to be happy for her because one day hopefully you can be as gross in love as she is.

The girls in my life are strong, powerful, and motivated ladies who inspire me every day. They are the life of the party, and I am SO proud to know them.

Let’s celebrate all of the gal pals we hold dear, and put the focus on supporting each other instead of the roses and romance!
