Some days, you're up early, skipping to class with a coffee in your hand and smiling as if you just won the lottery. Other days, you just want to curl up in a ball and never wake up again, crying from the stress and panicking from the deadlines. For some reason, the latter tends to happen more frequently around this time of year. With finals season officially here and motivational levels at an all-time low, the Franciscan University community has compiled a list of what comes to mind upon hearing the dreaded words: finals week.
1. Coffee and no sleep
2. Praying while studying
Praying that the prof will go easy but studying my booty off anyway...
3. Pulling hair out
4. Lord of the Rings memes
For some reason, Lord of the Rings seems to relate to finals week very well. Maybe because it was written by a professor...
5. 12 days of finals
6. Christmas!
This beloved holiday is right around the corner, and the only thing standing in the middle of you and Christmas is a week of exams.
7. Chocolate
Using your meal plan points before they expire like...
8. Life is a mess
Pain is temporary. GPA is forever.
9. Sweatpants everyday
10. Needing motivation
I don't know about you, but Ryan Gosling could easily motivate me to ace my finals.
Don't think about what can happen in a month. Don't think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you, and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be. So go on and laminate your notes so the tears roll off easily, and drink that third cup of coffee. YOU GOT THIS.
