I absolutely love Missoula, Montana. This will always be my favorite place. I've lived here for about five years now but growing up, I always considered Zootown as a second home. I have traveled to many places during my young life, but this town is the best place I've ever been. As summer approaches, I think of all the fun-filled activities that we'll all partake in.

1. Floating the river!

The most famous float is the one that starts in East Missoula (The Tamarack) and ends at either Albertsons or Brennan's Wave (Downtown). This float is known as "The Booze Cruise." During this float, you'll see many other Missoulians blasting their water-proof speakers, drinking and smoking, tied-up together with multiple tubes, floaties, and one long rope keeping them from drifting apart. This is my all-time favorite summer activity.

If you're looking for a more peaceful floating experience, start in Lolo and end at the old Walmart. That is the Bitterroot River, and it's full of eagle sightings and privacy.

2. Visit a new brewery!

This I have yet to conquer. And what I mean by that is, there are so many breweries in Missoula that I haven't been to. Seriously, just google "breweries in Missoula" and take a friend.

3. Antique shops

You ever been to that one antique shop at the northern end of Higgins? It has a sign that says, "We Buy Everything!" and it's pretty fun to browse around in. Check it out. There are actually a lot of antique shops here, and they're full of interesting things.

4. Paint with a twist!

I haven't done this one, either. I've always wanted to though. I've seen the paintings that friends and family have left with, and they're beautiful! Plus, you get to drink booze while you get a painting lesson. But it's BYOB, just FYI.

5. Escape rooms

There's BigSky Breakout and another one that I can't remember the name of, but this is such a fun thing to do with a group of friends. It's about $20 a person, and it's just a blast.

6. Hiking!

This one's big here. You can enjoy a beautiful hike practically on any side of town. Mount Sentinal (The "M"), The Rattlesnake, Patty Creek, Blue Mountain, etc.

7. The new dine-in theater!

A little pricey, but so worth it. They have super comfortable recliners, GREAT food, and the best movie-going experience you'll ever have in Montana. But don't forget about the Roxy, it's a classic place to have a glass of wine in an old-fashioned theater. Kind of romantic, too.

8. Museums and history

There is so much art culture in Missoula. I am a big lover of history, too. So Fort Missoula and the art exhibits on campus, and the art museums downtown, are all so very intriguing to me.

9. The Flying Squirrel

This place made me feel like a kid again. Enough said.

10. All of these amazing restaurants that we have!

I love food. But you know what I love more? Good food. And Missoula has plenty of it. Some of my favorites: The Depot, The Meagher Bar, The Montana Club, El Cazador, Fiesta En Jalisco, and soooo much more. I'll probably write my next article about all of the fabulous restaurants we have, because we lucked out for sure in that department.

11. Don't forget about the nightlife.

Karaoke, bar hopping, trivia night, bingo, casinos everywhere!

12. Last but not least, concerts.

Everyone who lives here knows, Missoula has been blessed with many artists. And now we have the new Kettlehouse Amphitheater! The Wilma is also amazing, especially since the remodel. My favorite concert experience in Missoula so far, however, is hiking The M and watching the concert when there's one being performed in the WA-GRIZ stadium.

Well, there are some fun things, folks. I fall in love with Missoula more every day. And I could go on with this list for hours, but I have to go meet up with some friends and do one of these activities that I am so blessed with the opportunity of doing. Share if you love Missoula, and comment some of the things you love doing in this wonderful place.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
