Last week, I visited Fun Spot America with my family on vacation. Here are some of my thoughts about the Kissimmee park and tips on what is worth doing and what is worth skipping.

1. Definitely ride the "Mine Blower" roller coaster.

This is the newest addition to the park. I was surprised to see a full-length roller coaster outside of Disney. It is wooden, like the now condemned "Hurricane" of Dania Beach's "Boomers!" Unlike most in its category, however, this is the only wooden roller coaster that goes upside down in Florida. The first drop is a stomach-turning 80-foot plunge. After riding it twice I found that it feels faster at the front rather than in the back. For me, this was the best ride in the park. My cousin and brother would beg to differ.

2. If you are an adrenaline junkie, try the "Skycoaster."

For adrenaline junkies, there is an atmospheric thrill ride that rivals skydiving. The "Skycoaster" offers daredevils the chance to drop from 300 feet in the air. Of course, my cousin and brother decided to try it out along with my dad. The three were strapped into a tarp-like contraption and carried up 30 stories by cables. At the top, one rider must pull the cord to release the lock and fall towards the lake below. I was too chicken to ride, so I watched as my family fell from the sky, screaming. They were all smiles and laughs as they walked off the ride. They would definitely rank the "Skycoaster" as the best ride in the park. Watch this video made by Fun Spot to see from the POV of a rider just how tall this attraction really is.

3. The "Hot Seat" is more fun than it looks.

This ride is like a swinging pendulum, except you are the pendulum. Four seats, two back-to-back, are clustered at one end. The ride starts and at first, it seems docile. It swings back and forth, a little higher each time, until it picks up speed. My stomach dropped as it surpassed the 180-degree mark, almost flipping upside down. It feels like the boat ride at fairs, sometimes called the "Pharaoh" or "Poseidon," but on steroids. It is a lot of fun, but don't forget to leave your glasses on the ground!

4. Classic carnival rides are in abundance.

At only $50 per person and free parking, Fun Spot is a more affordable option than Disney or Universal. They have plenty of options for thrill-seekers as well as the classic carnival rides everyone can enjoy. My favorite is the "Flying Bobs," also known as the "Himalayas." This ride is a suspended seat that races over the hills of the track first forwards then backward. Another attraction here is "Bumper Cars," in which you can crash into your friends for fun. Fun Spot boasts two Go-Kart tracks. The yellow "Vortex" and blue "Chaos" offer riders a chance to race to the finish line.

All in all, Fun Spot was a great place to visit and a perfect alternative to major theme parks Orlando is famous for. If you are looking for a summer activity, check out Fun Spot.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
