Fuller House, the revival series of the hit 90's show Full House was released on Netflix on Friday and brought back a huge dose of nostalgia for fans. The show follows the eldest Tanner daughter, DJ one year after the death of her husband raising her three boys. When most of her family decides to move to Los Angeles, DJ realizes that she is going to have a tough time raising her boys on her own, but her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy and her daughter decide to move in to help raise her boys, just like how Uncle Jesse and Joey did for them.
The first episode of the show was basically a the reunion eposide that everyone wanted, where almost every member of the Tanner family came together for a big going away party. Even DJ's ex-boyfriend, Steve makes an appearance. The only person that was missing was Michelle, since the Olsen twins did not reprise their role. The cast does mention the absence of Michelle and is even a bit self aware of the situation. The rest of the season then continues with the usual antics of the Tanner family.
The show did not get great reviews from critics however. Many of the major critics did not feel that once people get over the nostalgia that surrounds the show, there is really no substance to it. The show only received 31% good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans were a lot more receptive of the show, however. Fuller House received a score of 8/10 stars from fans on IMDb.
Overall the show has been a success with many fans flocking to Netflix to get a does of nostalgia. The show was a great chance to live some old memories from our childhoods. Even with the negative reviews, the show managed to bring in all of the fans who wanted another dose of Tanner fun.
