While 'Frozen 2' Didn't Make As Much Money As The First Movie, This Sequel Is More Than Worth Seeing

Hello, fellow Frozen fans! It is ice to see you all here to hear about the latest news in regards to the sequel – one that has been a long time coming, since it's been six years since the first movie's release. So now, take all of that stress and frustration you had in anticipation and let it go… And of course, gather all of your excitement as well as all-too-good and happy feels soar over this sequel, because its tremendous box office success, both expected and deserved, is worth celebrating over!

So, here are the technical bits on its ticket sales in the theaters, but don't worry: no spoilers here! Now, on with the box office deets…

Frozen 2 grossed exactly $350.2 million on a global scale, seeming super close to becoming the "largest opening animated movie of all-time"! However, while it flourished worldwide, it only grossed $125 million nationwide within 3 days, as opposed to this year's remake of The Lion King, which gathered up $191 million.

This is not the only time a Frozen movie was surpassed by the Lion King remake: Frozen (a.k.a. this sequel's predecessor) grossed up to $1.27 billion back in 2013 and was officially crowned the "highest-grossing animated film of all time," until the CGI/live-action version of the 1994 lion-ified Hamlet of a Disney Renaissance classic came along and took its spot on the throne, beating out our fave ice queen and her feisty sister with fiery red hair and an icy white streak.

Now, here is the interesting thing: I'm sure that any fan of Disney and/or The Hunger Games would know that when the first Frozen movie came out, it became such a smash that it crushed the numbers for the second Hunger Games movie playing at that time Catching Fire (proving that ice had beaten fire). And isn't it interesting that now the sequel to Frozen, the Academy Award-winning movie for "Best Animated Feature film" in 2014 that beat the Hunger Games sequel, had debuted on November 22nd, the day on which Catching Fire debuted? Hmmm…

Well, I did not bring that up for nothing, though I still find it very interesting (and maybe even strange enough to be a bit of a coincidence). Anyway, this Frozen sequel had collected an estimated $13.1 million, overshadowing the $12.3 million that Catching Fire collected in 2013.

Now, let me just say that I am not salty about that: it's Disney after all, so never mind that Catching Fire was the best Hunger Games movie of the franchise to ever be adapted and hit the big screen, and for it to be beaten by ice not once but twice… It's fine.

But no, in all seriousness though, I'm really glad that Frozen 2 was that successful; yes, while not successful enough to beat out the Lion King CGI remake domestically, but enough so to ice over one of my favorite movies of all time, well that would be another valid reason for why this may be another one of my all-time faves, especially under Disney! So yeah, for the sake of promoting Frozen 2 to everyone I know, I'll just let it go

And don't miss Frozen 2 in theaters, which is playing now everywhere you look! Now, that I've seen it once in standard theater mode, I can't wait to see it again but this time in IMAX… you know, to feel the amount of adventure as much as the characters are feeling it throughout the movie! (Yes, it was that good.) Tiny hint: I'll be like a flowing river: that way, I'll never forget how I felt every time I would go in to watch this movie in theaters over and over.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
