Friendship is a crazy thing.
When you're little, it's easy. You're pretty much friends with everyone. You all play together, zero cares or worries. But as you get older it gets more and more difficult. The number of people you chose to be friends with gets smaller.
When you get older, after you graduate high school, you'll find you have a core group of friends who--even through fights and fallouts--always manage to have them supporting and being there for you.
For some people that might be 10 people, others more. But with friends, numbers don't matter. As long as you have people who love you, support you and care about you, what more could you really want?
To the friends who've always been there for me,
I can't thank you nearly enough. You've seen me fall and get right back up again. You've supported me in good times and in bad times. You've seen me laugh, cry, act crazy, and drink probably a little too much.
You've celebrated birthdays, holidays, and achievements with me. You've given me advice, you've taken mine. You've given me much needed pep talks and always been a listening ear.
You've become part of my family. Sometimes I think my mom likes some of you better than me.
Thank you for always being around for random lunch and dinner dates. Thank you for always being down for doing absolutely nothing together. And thank you for eating or drinking a little too much along with me.
You guys really are a gift in my life. I couldn't be more grateful for all of you and everything you've done for me and will do for me in the future. I love you guys more than anything.
The most important thing I want to say is, thank you. Thank you for everything.
