We all have that group chat that shares some of our most humiliating moments, deepest secrets and craziest obsessions. It’s where we send pictures of ourselves, screenshots of each other, or that really hot guy on Instagram that posted another picture for all of us to ogle over. The best friends group chat is where all of our top secret information is kept.
1. Ever person plays a significant role in the group chat.
There’s the friend who is constantly texting the latest gossip, and wants to know every detail on the new boy you’re seeing. Then there is the friend that is always late to the conversation and texts, “Wait, someone repeat what is going on…” Or the friend that is MIA for a week, and then all of a sudden texts randomly and we all jump to our phones to see the great news. They then go dormant again after chiming in, and we no longer hear from them for several days.
2. The group chats name has a certain meaning.
Whether it is "Soul Sisters," "Mains," or "Lovasssss," your group chat is never just your personal names. There is significance to the name in which your group chat is given.
3. You look to them for advice.
Seriously, you wouldn’t survive if there wasn't a group chat. Your best friends are necessary in order to survive the world.
4. Filled with "remember whens."
Throw-backs are always brought up in the group chats. Wether it is an embarrassing moment years ago, or a picture from two nights ago, "remember whens" are constantly brought up. Making us all smile at our goofy selves, and realizing how lucky we are to have one another.
5. When you don’t see each other for a long time, the anticipation up to when you finally can see each other is overwhelming.
When you all move off to college, states apart from each other, and you are finally making plans to see one another for the first time in ages. The anticipation of seeing your best friends is overwhelming because you are constantly texting about the great plans you are making.
6. Embarrassing pictures usually surface.
So you sent your friend a funny Snapchat...all of a sudden it pops up in the group chat for everyone’s pleasure. Or your friend finally got ahold of all those embarrassing family photos you took when you were younger. The group chat is made for embarrassing times, which is why it must always be kept top secret.
7. They keep you up all night.
Seriously though, can a girl get some sleep please?
8. Or when you wake up to over 100 texts you missed out on.
