To The Friends I Thought I Would Have Forever

Not all friendships end on a bad note.

To The Friends I Thought I Would Have Forever
Bustle

We started out as friends from a young age. At that time, everything was perfect, we didn't think anything would tear us apart. We thought that we would be friends forever and would grow old and our children would be best friends to. What we didn't foresee was how life would change us, didn't know we could ever change how we were. But life is unpredictable and all we did was change. Change isn't a bad thing but a subtle, unexpected change can turn your life upside down.

When I imagined how my life would be after high school, I didn't imagine this. I didn't see in my fantasy that we had been growing apart for years or that one small mistake could end it all. I didn't realize how losing you could change everything I do. I see a group of friends now and wonder what it would be like if we hadn't started to drift away. I hang with friends that we shared, and now don't, and see how friends really should be. That is one thing I was able to realize out of all of this. We weren't the best friends to each other. We made fun of each other, you made fake fights to see which side I would choose, and no matter the care we showed each other we just weren't meant to last. Our friendship was the type of relationship where we were supposed to learn from each other and move on. I truly am grateful for all the memories we have and what our friendship taught me, but as we move off to college I know what happened happened for a reason.

I now know that no matter what we could have done to try ad fix our toxic friendship, it would have still ended the same. Even if we started over in second grade, with everything that happened in our lives and all the changes, we would have still ended the friendship. It could have ended sooner or even later on in life, but we would still be where we are now. This isn't intended to cause any drama or ill feelings, this is only to let you and others know that I have moved on and its for the best for both of us. I will always remember the memories we shared and hope you do the best in life. We all deserve a little good in our lives and if our friendship ending helped both of us then it did what was in

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
