To My Friend Who’s Transferring, I'll Always Have A Place For You
Stephanie Davies

It's crazy to think that we met a year ago and I have to say bye to you in just a few months before summer approaches. The one thing that I could say to you right now with full confidence is that I am so proud of you, and how you've come to this decision entirely on your own. Without any outside influences, deciding what was best for you and your life which is truly amazing. It takes so much to realize that you need to change something within your own path to make an everlasting change for the better. You have passions that are driving you to do the best to succeed in your life and evolve as a person. Please, don't let anyone ever take that away from you because those qualities are amazing and unique these days.

You'll run into hard days, but they'll get easier and make you fight even harder to achieve your goals. The tears will be worth it and they will dissolve over time as you'll make so many people smile through your sense of humor and hard-working personality. These people will be drawn to you because you're such a kind person with respectable values that align with so many others. You'll keep the friendships and bonds that you have here and build even more amazing relationships at the new University you're attending. I know that you're probably terrified, but this is going to be such an exciting chapter for you which will be worth experiencing on so many levels. Your future is brighter than ever and I am so excited to watch everything that you do in this world.

Please remember that I'll always be here for you and our friendship won't change negatively because of this move, It will only get stronger. Again, I am so proud of you and the moves that you're making to achieve your goals and make the best out of your life. You inspire me to take every opportunity I can and work harder than ever to get to where I want to be. Never give up on what you love, If you fight hard enough it'll love you back. Let yourself love this new segment of your life, you'll always have a family and place here at our University.

It's okay to be upset and nervous, but choose happiness as I hope you'll always do throughout your life. Find the positivity in yourself as well as the situations you encounter and make the best out of your next few years. The tides might be high but I know with confidence that you'll be able to surf. I'll miss you a lot but, you're not too far so it won't be difficult at all to reach you. You're going to do great things, meet amazing people, and change the world.

I cannot wait to watch.

xoxo

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
