It has happened to you at least once. You know the way it feels when either a childhood friend moves away to go to college/work or one of your college friends moves away to enter the real world, either way it sucks. Having a friend move away is like losing a part of your life or feeling like you have been abandoned all alone in empty space. You have connections and memories with these people and they have become a huge part of your life so when they move away it feels like you have to create a new life.
To the friend that is moving away,
First, I want to wish you good look in your new endeavors. You will do great things in your life so don't ever let anyone or anything hold you back. Strive to do your best and never settle for anything shy of what you deserve. Saying I will miss you is an understatement. You have become such a big part of my life and now I have to find someone else and something else to put my time into, but we all know growing up is a thing now. No matter how scary and hard it is to face change and move into the future it is inevitable. I will miss our endless adventures, late night food runs, pointless conversations, times we laughed so hard we either cried or stopped breathing, all the shows and movies we binged watched on Netflix, all the times we raided each other clothes, late night study sessions, and most of all the times we had no care in the world. Guess no matter how much neither one of us like it, we have to move on. I am very thankful to have had you five minutes away and the huge impact you've made in my life. I don't know how I would have survived life without you. Whenever you are 30 minutes or three hours away I'm glad that our friendship isn't measured by distance but heart. I'll love you always!
xoxo
