You are worth more than a million words. You have come such a long way. We have been guiding each other and pushing each other to be our very best since the age of 14. Now that we have left our teen years we have come to learn that we are still there for each other and have become more like sisters and family than just “friends”. We argue like real sisters we have inside jokes and have started traveling the world together like we’ve seen in those cheesy best friend movies.

I am so proud of you. You broke the norms of society around us and have been proving to others that you don’t need to do things the way others do it to be happy and successful in life. You are so driven and hardworking and there is not a day where you are not busy at work with new opportunities at your fingertips. Never lose that, there are not many people like that anymore. Most people get knocked down and don’t have the courage to stand back up but you have. You have shown what consistency and hard work result in.

You may be younger than me by exactly one month and 4 days but you have shown me that your actually the older one by how prepared you are to tackle the world. The passion you have for everything around you is astonishing. Whenever I may be having a bad day you know exactly what to say or how to get me out of a funk. I can't wait until the rest of the world gets to know who you are because I know so much more people will be thankful to have you in their life as an example and a mentor.

I can't wait to see how much more crazy our lives will be by each others side or how many more places we’ll travel together. I can’t wait until we find our dream men and live the cheesy life’s we always talk about one day with our future soul mates. You rock! If you ever need me just know to call my name and I'll come flying to you but hopefully not get pulled over like before. And if we ever lose contact which won't happen unless I die or something know regardless ill always be by your side and I'll watch and cheer you on from whatever place we may be at.

Love you,

Cheekie.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
