1. This feels weird.
You walked all this way and didn't have to make a pit stop at your locker. It feels like everyone knows you're a confused freshman but really they're all trying not to be late for their 9 am's too.
2. Where’s my mom with her camera?
The first day of school just isn't the same without a quick photo in your front yard taken by mom.
3. Was I supposed to buy the book for class? Do I bring the book to class?
Text books are confusing. What classes actually need them? Should I even buy the book and why do they cost so much?
4. Oh my gosh, I don’t know where I’m going.
You pull up your campus map in hopes you can find the weirdly named building. Yet, you end up getting lost and feeling hopeless.
5. Wait what time does class even start?
Some days classes start at 8 and other days they start at 10. Keeping track of which day it is proves to be one of the bigger challenges.
6. Who do I sit with?
Odds are you know zero people in your class. You don’t know if you should sit in the front and look too eager or the back and look like you still have a case of senioritis. The middle is always a good call.
7. Maybe I should sit next to that cute boy/ girl.
Then you think that not only will you try to make friends in your class, but you will be the girl or guy that meets their future spouse on the first day of school.
8. I hope we don’t have to introduce ourselves.
In high school, you always had to do that name, favorite color, fun fact game. Here’s to hoping college classes aren’t the same way.
9. Why am I sweating so much?
Walking to class is excruciating at first because of the heat and possibly even hills that your campus has. Who knew a small journey could make you sweat so much?
10. Ugh, I’m lost again.
And so you head to your second class finding yourself lost again. It happens.
11. When do I eat lunch? Where do I eat lunch?
It’s all up to you. Better make a friend in your 10 am so you have someone to eat lunch with.
12. I’m ready for a nap..college kids take those right?
You’ve struggled through 3 fifty minute classes, finding a table in the dining hall, and your Fitbit has already hit your 10,000 step goal. It’s definitely time for a nap.
