Mathew, an 8-year-old boy, lost his mother, brother and sister, in a house full of misery and behind closed door actions. Will this young boy be able to recover from the pain he endured over the years? From the people who were supposed to be close and protect him in harmful situations? Instead these people may be the source of the very things that he was supposed to be protected from.

Mathew lived in an apartment with his now 18-year-old sister, 13-year-old sister Stoni, 9-year-old brother Stephen, and 36-year-old mother Mitchelle. Since Mathew was in diapers, he was molested, raped, and physically abused by his older siblings Stoni and Stephen. Looking at these children pictures they seem to be innocent and pure children, but they are exactly the opposite of those words.

13-year-old Stoni was the ring leader of the physical harm toward Mathew. The physical abuse started when Mathew was just in diapers until Mathew was 6 years old. Stoni first started sexually assaulting nine year old Stephen and physically abusing him, then somehow she convinced him to turn the pain toward youngest brother Mathew, and together they committed one of the most heinous acts, all due to jealousy of Mathew's attention he was receiving because of his "cuteness."

Over the years, Stoni and Stephen gang raped Mathew and molested him. Mathew recently told his mother everything that happened to him, and the two admitted to the acts. Stephen would often pee on Mathew at night, rape him with his head faced down making it hard for him to breathe, ejaculate in his eyes, force him to drink Windex, take his food on many occasions, put his genital area in many parts of Mathew's body, and physically hurt Mathew over the years. Stoni often raped and molested Mathew, tortured him by forcing him to drink her menstrual blood, forcing Mathew to perform oral sex by sitting on his face, also physically hurting Mathew and performing sexual acts with Stephen in front of Mathew, then proceeding with the sexual acts on Mathew.

The news is trying to portray these two children as innocent, when those children had serious issues. Some sort of trauma had to happen to either one of them, because normal 13 and 9 year old's do not act like that. they go to school and enjoy their childhood, not find new ways to torture their brother because he was cute.

The sexual abuse was discovered when, at the time, 6-year-old Mathew was discovered by the oldest sister playing with two male dolls inappropriately. The sister soon told mother Mitchelle Blair, and Blair then began to question Mathew. Blair has also had experiences with sexual molestation as a child. When Blair was younger, she was molested by a woman in the neighborhood, Blair then told her mother, her mother did nothing about it and did not seem to care. Ever since then Blair has had a zero tolerance for sexual molestation.

When Blair questioned her youngest son about any inappropriate acts that have happened to him, he was a bit hesitant to tell the mother, but eventually said that his older brother Stephen, had molested him. Blair began to question Stephen about these accusations, Stephen lied at first, but then began to tell the truth.

This is when the two week torture of Stephen begin to occur, by his mother Mitchelle with Mathew watching many of the acts. Over the two weeks, Blair whipped Stephen with an electric cord, punched and kicked him, poured boiling water on his genital area, and made him go unconscious multiple times. On August 30, 2012, Stephen died, and Blair wrapped his body in a blanket and put him in the deep freezer.

Now, in the house was only four living people, for nine months Mathew kept his mouth closed about any more abuse. Until Blair found out that Stoni had also been abusing the youngest son Mathew. During the nine months after Stephen's death, Stoni continued to physically and sexually abuse Mathew, causing Blair's outrage toward daughter Stoni. Stoni seemed to have no remorse toward Mathew for anything she did, and had such a hate toward Mathew that resulted in Blair being so cold in the way she talks about Stoni in the court room during trial.

Blair intentionally killed Stoni, while she said she did not intentionally kill Stephen. Blair gave Stoni very little food, burned her with an iron on her body, beat her with an extension cord, kick and punched her, hit Stoni with a hot curling iron causing her tooth to break, put boiling water on Stoni, and suffocated Stoni with a T-shirt and plastic bag, all while younger brother Mathew watched. Later forcing oldest daughter to put Stoni's body in the deep freezer. Ultimately giving Blair her infamous name "Freezer Mom."

My heart goes out to youngest son Mathew as he endured all of this trauma during his time with his family. Now Mathew and oldest daughter live with their Aunt. The fathers of the children were deemed unfit for the children to live with. The fathers were not involved as much as they could be, and together owed $50,000 in child support. My take on this story is Blair is not innocent, but her anger and rage is understandable once you hear what her two middle children did to Mathew for years. In that situation Blair should have waited to calm down and not acted on emotion.

Personally I feel a spirit of evil existed in that house, because it is reported of incidents of child abuse way before the death of Blair's two middle children, so something had to occur to those children to make them act out of such evil. Blair is now being bashed for killing and keeping her dead children in the deep freezer for a total of two years, but what the news fails to stress is the middle children's involvement in her reaction. No one is in the right in this situation except Mathew and the oldest daughter, and the blame need not be put on just one person.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
