Freedom. What is it?
Why are we so “obsessed” with it and with individualism? Is it because we now live in a world where we think we have to do everything on our own and the we cant trust anyone? Or is it because we think that we don't need anyone and that help is overrated, so we have to try to do it on our own. Asking for help, to some, is a sign of weakness when really it is the opposite. Those who ask for help are strong. They have reached a time in their life when they realized that need someone to help them with something, and they cannot take in this world alone. There is something bigger than themselves, and that is the type of freedom we should want. The freedom in this country to be who we want and to go out and reach our goals and to ask for help. We could not have any type of freedom without having asking for help at one point or another. Even military branches ask the others for help. They are not alone. We ask other countries for support, supplies, money and we help others as well. It is something that we need. We do not necessarily need the individualism but the help and support of others.
