Frank Gallagher is the patriarch of the fictional Gallagher family of the Showtime show, Shameless. He's an alcoholic, drug user, homeless, and overall horrible father. Here are just some reasons why:

1. He disappeared for 130 days

In the world's longest blackout, Frank reemerges in the first episode of season 3 in Mexico and has to find his way back to Chicago. Of course, his family (mainly, Debbie) are wondering and worried about his whereabouts.

2. He broke Debbie’s project

As he came home in the morning from a drunken night with two equally drunk friend in tow Frank in the path of his destruction Frank breaks Debbie's history project she'd been working so hard on. This scene will break anyone's heart and make you feel for Debbie who finally lashes out against her disappointing father.

3. He slept (unwillingly, but still) with Karen

4. He made Carl believe he had cancer

5. He went to parent/ teacher night for a different kid than his own

6. He called Child Protective Services on his own family

This is just about the lowest thing Frank has done. He called CPS on his own family and the state separated them and put them in group homes. Meanwhile, Fiona worked to free them and get custody taken away from Frank.

7. He buried Aunt Ginger in the backyard

Then, the whole family had to go on a day-long dig to find her to avoid Frank being put in jail for insurance fraud.

8. He uses Sheila for a place to stay

He takes advantage of her agoraphobia and uses her for a place to stay.

9. He opened credit cards in his children's names

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
