I'm not a shopaholic, I'm helping the economy!

14 Things Every Shopaholic Knows To Be True

We shop when we're sad, we shop when we're happy, and we shop for every emotion in between. You may or may not be a shopaholic if you are familiar with these 14 situations.

1. You rationalize that every event in your life deserves a shopping trip.

Fail your exam? Go buy new shoes to cheer you up. Ace your exam? Celebrate by buying new shoes. Just woke up? Treat yourself by buying new shoes.

2. You already have a programmed response for when your parents try to give you a hard time for spending more money.

3. There are times when you can't choose between the cream blouse or the red one, so you just buy both.

4. Forcing yourself to fit into something that's the wrong size if you love it and it's the only size available.

5. Your best friends know the way to your heart is by telling you about upcoming sales.

And your boyfriend knows the way to your heart is by taking you shopping.

6. The second you get into a store, you feel as though your wallet has magically been filled with more money.

7. Whenever you buy new clothes you feel like an entirely different person.

8. Your attendance at events is based on whether or not you can find an outfit.

9. Even if your friends aren't in the mood to shop...you are...and you need opinions.

10. Who needs the gym when you're spending hours walking around the mall?

11. Your biggest battle is walking away from buying something.

12. You get a rush from paying in exact change.

13. Ordering clothes online makes you mad because you have to wait for them to get to you.

14. You leave the mall feeling on top of the world and ready to conquer everything.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
