Just a few regrets that I have that I can do nothing about. No big deal.

4 Things I Wish I Would Have Done In College

It's been a few days since I've graduated college, and I can't help but to think about what I wish I would have done during my years in school. I know I can't possibly be the only one who's reflecting back so here are the four things I wish I would have done while in college

1. Joined a sorority

In the beginning, I always told myself that I wouldn't want to join one. I didn't believe in hazing or the idea of "paying for friends." I thought to myself, "Eh, I know how to make friends, people love me!" But, I know now that it would've changed my entire college experience as a whole. I would've had a group of ladies with me in my life forever.

2. Been more active in clubs

Clubs are a great way to meet new people, make friends and connections. If I would've joined more clubs, I would have been more involved with campus life, which I really wasn't. Clubs will keep you busy. I have those days where I was glad to come home after a long day filled with classes. Other times, I wish I had something to do.

3. Took a language class

In high school it was required to take Spanish. I did really well in Spanish, it was actually one of my favorite classes because I understood it so well. When you go to college, there are so many electives and GE's to choose from. We get the choice of picking whatever classes we want. It's so beneficial to be able to speak different languages. My Spanish speaking skills could be way better than they are now if I decided to take a class or two. Or even a French class. That would have been cool.

4. Studied abroad

This one is pretty self explanatory. Whether to go to another school in the states or internationally traveled, not studying abroad definitely is a huge regret for me. There is so much out there that I have yet to see. Travelling is so fun and I know it could have made my college years so much better. My friends that did study abroad loved it and I can't lie and say that I was jealous.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
