No matter how old you are, you just have some sad days. Whether it's an annoying boss, professor, peer, or situation, some days you just need to find a dark closet and cry in it. And when that day comes, there are four songs you should listen to so you can feel extra sad. I don't know about you, but when I get sad, I make myself even sadder. Listening to sad music helps you to reach a place so much lower than rock bottom. Listening to these four songs will save you the cost of a therapist.
Bad Day by Daniel Powter
Though it may be your worst day, listening to "Bad Day" will do just as much good. The lyrics "you had a bad day" just make you feel so sad that you consider spending an extra fifteen minutes in that closet. If the lyrics aren't sad enough, prepare yourself for the saddest piano music you will hear...unless you YouTube search "sad piano music."
Sad Song by We The Kings
This one should be self explanatory that it's a sad song, but since I need to take up space, I'll make up an explanation. This is a particularly good song if you're in a fight with someone you were once close with. I don't know from experience, but this is just a depressing song that'll make you feel even worse about your life decisions.
Fix You by Coldplay
The lyric "I will try to fix you" sounds more like you're singing it to motivate you to fix yourself. But at this point, you're not going to. So just weep a little more and hit repeat. And if you weren't crying already, you'll start to when they start singing about crying.
All By Myself by Celine Dion
This is just a timeless classic. If the song isn't sad enough for you, watch the music video and imagine yourself in it instead of Celine Dion. This needs no explanation because it's one of the saddest songs of all time.
None of this was professional advice. Don't take it.
