An Open Letter From A Pup Lover To Their Pup

I think most people know that you're awesome, but still.

To you,

You know who you are. And I’m pretty sure you know what you mean to me. I mean, I let you into my bed every night. I provide comfort for you as you do for me. I buy you everything you could possible want and more. We spend 90% of our time together.

I love you my little wet nosed, soft-haired, goofy and incredibly awesome dog.

You are seriously the best.

When I’m sad, you’re there.

When I’m happy, you’re ready to go.

When I’m hyper, you’re ready to play or go for a walk or wrestle or whatever.

When I’m tired, you’re ready to sleep.

When I’m bored, you’re always there.

You’re pretty great.

I think most people understand that I like you more than I like them. If they don’t like it, we don’t need them in our lives. You’re my best friend!

Thank you for being awesome. Thank you for being a great judge of character—I’ve avoided many a terrible person simply because you didn’t seem to click.

I rescued you, but you really rescued me. So, thanks for that. That’s pretty cool.

I tell everyone I know that if they want a dog, they should rescue, because that’s how I found you and that was one of the greatest days of my life. I know that sometimes I’m not around as much as I should be, and I probably don’t walk you as much as I should, but despite that, you still are always there to greet me at the door with a wag. You’ve provided comfort to me in the darkest of times and you’ve provided a companion in the best.

Thanks for being an awesome pup,

Your human

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
