If you're a part of Greek Life, then you should know that it's our favorite time of the semester... Formal season. No matter if you're going to Gatlinburg, Chicago, Canada, or just staying in your own city, you're basically guaranteed a good time. But the week/weeks before formal can be so stressful.

First off, who are you going to go with?

Debating between going with a friend or asking the boy you've been crushing on can be a really hard decision. If you are really struggling to find a date, you might just have to suck it up and get set up.

What are you going to wear?

Time to go shopping! Or online shopping. But you can't forget about the mental breakdown you have when the Tobi dress you ordered doesn't fit you in any of the right places. But then you remember that you have 200 more closets to choose from.

Now that you have a dress, you need to be able to fit into it.

It just hit you that you only have a week to get skinny and be able to fit into that super tight dress you're going to wear. Shoot... Who said crash-dieting doesn't work?

Making a cooler.

Do I really have to make a cooler? This can be stressful especially for those who aren't exactly artistic, but all I can say is thank god for Pinterest.

Time to get ready.

Blast your Beyonce, turn on your curling iron, and start putting your makeup on girlfriend. Go get ready for the night.

Now we can't forget about taking a good Instagram.

It might take a million tries but you're determined to get a good picture. I mean if you don't post a cute pic, did you even go to formal?

And now you remember... there's food.

You know you're going to be eating for the first 20 minutes of formal. Free drunk food. What's better than that?

More drinks.

Did I just hear shots? Even though you just pregamed your whole bottle and you probably don't need any more drinks, you make your way over to the bar anyways. Drink up!

Let's hit the dance floor.

Now that you got some more drinks in you, you can't wait to show off the dance moves that you've been practicing at Bullwinkles.

Your feet start to kill and you wonder why you wore such tall heels.

After four hours, you start to regret those shoes you decided on, but then remember how good you look. Pain is beauty, ladies. Just make your date carry you down high street and you'll be fine.

Bed time?

Now, props to you if you make it out to the bars after formal. You're a real trooper. Rally on!

The morning after.

Time to recap your night with all your best girls. And of course you can't forget to check everyone's snapchats. Well, now formal is over, and you can't wait for next year's formal season!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
