Your favorite store can turn into a nightmare

My Experience Working At Forever 21

There is over thousands of jobs in the United States that involve store retail. I've always wanted to work in a place where I would enjoy and like being there. Like many other teenagers I love shopping and sometimes shop more than needed. This is why I thought that working at Forever 21 was my best shot. Working in retail is something that not anybody can do, even though everyone thinks its the most easiest job ever, but I can assure they are wrong.

Working in a retail store , plus going to college can stress the hell out of you. You need to be consistent and balanced with everything you are doing because you are getting paid to clean the store and pick up after people's mess. The amount of people shopping and not picking up after themselves is INSANE, people shop and drop things on the ground and just say its our job to be babying them around the store when its not like that at all. You as a shopper need to have more respect when shopping and treat everything as if it was your own, you obviously do not want someone trashing your house and dropping everything on the ground, that just says a lot about people.

Working at Forever 21 can sometimes be one of the worst things because of the amount of shoppers you have and its hard to keep up with your go backs and cleaning the floor area you are assigned, this mostly happens on weekends. Managers expect the best and most of you and sometimes take advantage of you. As employees we cannot complain when they send us do things that sometimes we're not required to do because that's how retail works. And you would say you can probably get great discounts at the store but sadly you can only get 10% off of anything, and that's it nothing more than that.

Forever 21 is one of the million stores where retail workers are not given the enough pay for what they do and sometimes are exploited and ask to stay longer than what their shift says, and if you don't do as said you get a write up, certain amount of write ups get you fired. No one that I know of is happy with jobs like this, but when you're very limited you don't have much of a choice. The only good side about my job are the co workers, they will always make your shifts fun and not as boring as it seems, you all go through the same stress and same drained energy.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
