Our Times (Taiwan)

Via Amino AppsVia Amino AppsTaiYu gives Lin Truly the push she needs.

"Our times" follows office worker, Lin Truly, back to teenage years where she obsessively fawns over music idols, maneuvers through high school awkwardness and teams up with an unlikely classmate to help each other get what they want. Yes, this is a borderline a classic sappy movie about coming of age, but it is so good you would think you're the one living in the film.

The beauty inside (Korea)

"The beauty inside" follows a young man who falls in love with a furniture seller, but there's a catch. The young man's gender, language, height, race and overall appearance changes every time he wakes. Obviously, this is an odd premiss to create a film around, but it makes it all the more interesting.

Monsieur Lazhar (Canadian French)

After a young student discovers her teacher's body in her classroom from an apparent suicide there instructor is soon replaced with an immigrant teacher named Monsieur Lazhar. Their new teacher helps the class heal while he balances his own personal issues. I remember watching this in high school and going through LOTS of emotions, but was it worth it? Absolutely.

The Wailing (Korea)

All I can say about this film is...ooo chile. These characters go through HELL and I mean it. This Korean thriller/horror film follows Jong Goo a family man and rural police officer. As his mountain side village descends into hysteria following a string of murders and odd sicknesses he and a few others are forced to uncover the evil lurking beyond the mountains.

M (Germany)

Now this one's an oldie, but not at all any less intriguing than the rest. As the towns children begin to be target for heinous murders vigilante criminals and cops both hunt for the murderer as the town descends into madness.

Memories of Murder (Korea)

Via GiphyDetective Park looks for the murderer.Via Giphy

Frustrating to say the least, in 1980's rural Korea a small town is the target of the countries first recorded serial killer. Young women being at risk give a few clues as who may be assaulting and killing them, but is it enough for detective Park and detective Cho with lack of skill and technology?

Ponyo (Japan)

A childhood favorite of mine, Ponyo follows an adventurous goldfish princess who wants to become human. She meets a young boy, Sosuke, who befriends her, but much to Ponyo's fathers surprise such interaction is forbidden. Studio Ghibli always makes classics must I say more?

Train to Busan (Korea)

Via TumblrSeok Woo and his daughter try to escape the chaos around them.Via Tumblr

A blockbuster Korean film follows a divorced father, played by Gong Yoo, as he takes a train ride with his young daughter whom he has a distant relationship with. On that train ride it is revealed that a ravaging epidemic which turns citizens into zombies has plagued most of Korea. If you enjoy films like "World War Z" then this is the film for you.

S Diary (Korea)

Via TumblrJinny and Yu In in the honeymoon phase of their relationship.Via Tumblr

A single woman ponders about her past relationships and what went wrong. This films is both romantic and comedic and should definitely be added to your girls night movie list.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
