Dear Steve,
I wanted to dedicate this article to you to show how much I appreciate having you in my life. We just met one year ago, but you know me better than some people I've known my entire life. You can always tell when something is wrong and you're the first person to ask and jump into the drama with me. Every friendship is different. There are some things that are easier talking to my girlfriends about. There are some problems that I just want to talk to my boyfriend about. However, there are some things that I come to you with that I wouldn't want to share with anyone else.
You always hear me out. When I had a rough day in class or at practice, you were always there to listen to me complain. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. You were also there during all of the great moments. I remember you texting me three minutes before a job interview saying that I was going to kill it. You were also the first person I told when I found out I got the job, (after my mom of course). You always offer a high five or a hug at the most random moments, and I think it's perfect. Those are the things that cheer me up when things aren't going great. You're always making me laugh whether it's intended or not. Just know that when I try to sneak Snapchat videos of you, it's because I find you ridiculously funny and I want everyone else to see it too. Your dad dance moves are guaranteed to embarrass your kids at their middle school dances. I hope I'll be there to see it.
Finally, I just want to say thank you for always looking out for me. You're kind of like a parent and you're kind of like a brother. You hate to see me hurt and you're always there to give me advice when I need it. Sure, I don't listen to your relationship advice. You're not always spot on with that. Although, I always listen when you're encouraging me about my future. We have so many serious talks about where we want to be in life and I know you'll always be supporting me. Steve, you certainly are one of a kind. I also know that my life would not be as entertaining without you in it, so thank you.
Abby.
