Ever go on YouTube and watch a bunch of cooking tutorials for no reason? Take pictures of your meal and put it on social media even though everyone tells you not to? Brag to your friends about the new restaurant you just tried? Catch yourself going for thirds at the family buffet because who only goes for seconds, right? Chances are, my friend, that you are a foodie.
You're probably eating right now. Hey, chances are you made yourself a sandwich and are probably eating right now. It's just your way of enjoying your time while you're working on your laptop or watching TV. I am not judging. It's the only way to get the most out of your "me" time.
You eat in your classes. I mean it is hard being at school all day and having back-to-back classes. The struggle is real. Order something at The LunchBox Truck on campus real quick and carry that with you to class. Who cares if other students stare at you while you chomp down on your chicken fried rice? They just don't appreciate good food as much as you do.
Pre-eating. Many know about pre-gaming, but do they really know about pre-eating? It is a fabulous concept that you probably created to eat before going out to a restaurant. I mean, these days you never know. You make reservations and they still make you wait half or even a whole hour. You can't take this risk and pre-eat before you get there.
You're not yourself when hungry. You get catatonic when you're hungry, which means you are unresponsive and zombie-like. Your best friend tells you she aced that bio exam she had been worrying about all week and you're all like meh... I mean, you're hungry, and right now it's hard to care about anyone else. Does she not get how sad you get when deprived of food? Ugh, why are people so selfish?
Your parents bribe you with food. Your parents know your weakness and how to use it to their advantage. I mean, you just don't feel like visiting and going home because who really wants to pack? And chances are you're too lazy to because college is already a lot of work. Your parents call you and tell you they are making all your favorites and guess who's packed up and on the next train home? You are because you couldn't resist.
Of course, these are just five traits, but many more exist. As long as you are making healthy choices and staying active, who cares how much you eat? Just make sure to keep up with the gym and your diet. You can eat often too, but just make sure it's not junk food. My personal favorite things are pizza, grilled chicken salads, fruit, any type of pasta, rice, burgers, etc. I mean the list could go on, but being a foodie is not as bad as it may seem.
