Libraries are a great place to study-in theory. From their book covered hallways to the aromas from Starbucks drifting through the floors, there's more to the library than volumes of literary knowledge.
1. The Library is the Social Hub of every campus. You thought the bars were the place to be on an average week night, well just step through the doors of Hodges and see the hundreds of students procrastinating their studies and cramming for the next day's tests. Need an excuse to procrastinate? The Library is now your new best friend.
2. The numerous hallways and crevices make for the perfect hiding places for a great game of Hide and Seek or Sardines. Feeling like a kid again? Pick a floor and pick a corner for a quick game of Four Corners.
3. The library is a great place to feel productivity while not being productive at all. When your parents ask about your week and you tell them that you've spent most of your time in the library, they will probably be pretty proud. The library offers a safe environment to put your parents at ease while still having a social life.
4. Study rooms can be used for party rooms. Have a birthday coming up? Plan to throw a party in one of the various study rooms offered within the library walls.
5. As Spring Break and ultimately summer are upon us, we become more aware of our body image, exercise, and healthy eating. It is true that most libraries are more than one story (ha..ha..), so instead of taking the elevator, run the stairs. The library can offer your body both mental and physical exercise, just run some stairs in between assignments.
