If you haven't seen the hit TV series "Friends" you're seriously missing out on life. This was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and it's impossible not to binge watch. Not only that, I learned valuable life lessons from this show. Like not to climb into your homemade entertainment center to prove its size to a sketchy stranger. (Joey Tribbiani everyone.)
Here are the top five things that "Friends" taught me:
1. Your best friends will always see the worst sides of you, but they'll love you anyway.
Whether they're the ones having to drag you around a party while you trip along behind them or they're with you when you're crying about a bad grade, they'll always care for you. And never judge you.
Friends are the only people that you can be your complete self around, even if you're obnoxious and making jokes no one else gets. They're also the only people who you can talk to and get honest feedback. They'll be the first to tell you, "Yes, that outfit does make you look fat."
2. They're also the only ones who will tolerate you.
Let's face it, we all have our annoying moments. Maybe you've been ranting about a guy for twenty minutes or you're telling your best friend you want to leave the party, your friend will get angry. You'll notice it in the passive aggressive way they look at you.
Still, they nod and go along with it. They may complain about it for the rest of that day, but they'll go along.
3. "I'll be there for youuuuuu....."
These are the only people who will be there for you no matter what. You can call them at any time, day or night with a problem and they're there. Whether you're fighting or not is irrelevant.
They'll even fight the urge to say, "I told you so!"
4. They'll support you no matter what. Even if you're not so great at it.
No matter what you do, they'll be there in the front row cheering you on. You could be great or terrible at it, but either way they'll be the first to applaud your name. And sometimes, that's all you need.
5. There are two types of people: those who believe they were "on a break" and those who don't.
These two were a dream couple. (So are Chandler and Monica and Phoebe and Mike.) They had their own issues just like everyone else. Especially when it came to agreeing they were on a break.
