10 Reasons "Friends" Is The Best Show Ever

After 10 seasons of laughter, some tears, and some more laughter, "Friends" still remains one of the best shows to ever air on television. It has been nominated over 60 times for an Emmy, and won six. Despite the questionable late '90s fashion, this series showcases some of the best jokes, plot lines, romances, and friendships modern-day television has ever seen. Here are my top 10 reasons why "Friends" is the best show ever:

10. The One-Liners

Chandler Bing is without a doubt, the king of all one-line jokes.

9. It Never Gets Old

Try and name another show that you can watch several reruns of and still laugh at the same jokes.

8. It's Relatable

I guarantee there is an episode for every stage of your life. Heartbreak, change in jobs, moving, new relationships...the works.

7. Phoebe's Songs

Always making us question and ponder about the world we live in.

6. It Taught Us That It's Okay To Not Be Perfect

It's so cliche, but it's true. Ross had three failed marriages and still ended up with the love of his life. Everything always works out in the end.

5. It Shows Us What True Love Looks Like


Ross + Rachel and Monica + Chandler showed us that true relationships take time, patience, compromise, and commitment. But no matter what, they will end up together and stay together. They are true #RelationshipGoals.

4. It Proves That Your Friends Can Be Extremely Different Than You, And That's Okay

No one would have expected a rich girl, a chef, a paleontologist, an accountant, a masseuse/hippy, and an actor to be lifelong friends. Yet here they are.

Rachel was a runaway bride. Ross's wife divorced him for her lesbian lover. Monica and Chandler got married. Ross and Rachel had a baby together. None of those things were planned and yet they all end up happy. Embrace the unknown, friends.

You know you have the sudden urge to dance in a fountain and belt "I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU" whenever it plays in the opening credits.

The core characters are what make "Friends" a flawless show. Every single character is loved and relatable. We all have a little bit of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Joey in us in some way, shape or form.
