To my monsters out there, stay safe!
Here it is! Halloween! One of the best holidays of the year. The day where people can get creative and use their imagination to create or buy their costumes! Even though this is one of the best holidays to celebrate, let's go over several safety tips for an awesome Halloween night!
SAFETY TIP #1
USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM
Whether you are going to go trick or treating or just going to the restroom from dancing on the dancefloor, you MUST always use the buddy system! Having someone with you is a safe bet because you are less likely to be harmed or bothered if a friend is with you.
SAFETY TIP #2
CHECK THE SWEETS
If you are going to go trick or treat with your friends or with your children, always check your bag of goodies because you never know if there will be harmful substances.
SAFETY TIP #3
BE LIT!!!
The night of Halloween can get pretty dark, so if you're going around the neighborhood, make sure you have glow in the dark sticks or illuminating objects with you, so you do not get yourself hurt. I bought several glow in the dark sticks at Dollar Tree; they are pretty cheap and work well!
SAFETY TIP #4
CANDY! CANDY! CANDY!
Even if you are not going out or not going to go trick or treating, please do not forget a bag of candy! I forgot to get a bag of candy last year and there were cute little trick or treaters that showed up to my doorstep, and the children were not happy. So, instead of giving them candy, I gave them Instant Ramen noodles (college life). Please, I beg of you please, go buy a bag of candy! Children love to dress up and receive candy for their costumes. Trust me, the children will stay at your doorstep until they receive a piece of candy. So, do not forget a bag of candy and do not forget to compliment on their costumes.
SAFETY TIP #5
SELFIES!!
When you take a selfie, make sure you are free from traffic and you take a selfie in an open area. Selfies are cute and fun but there will be people walking on the streets, so be aware of your surroundings. Nobody likes a stump pumpkin in the middle of the road.
So have fun my ghoulish monsters, until next time!! Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! MWAHAHAHA!
