Ever since "Wonder Woman's" 2017 release, I have been quite an obsessed fan. Go through my wardrobe, and you’ll find multiple Wonder Woman T-shirts. Her sword and shield are sitting in my bedroom, waiting to be used on Halloween. (Pictures to come). Besides the point, here are five, completely honest, and unfiltered reasons as to why Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero.

1. She is a badass role model for young girls.

In a male-dominated industry, where male superheroes are far more common, it is awesome for a woman to come in, hold her own, and level up with the guys. Wonder Woman shows young girls that they can do everything that a man can, and just as well. (Maybe even better, if we are being honest). Wonder Woman also shows that being physically strong does not have to make you “masculine”. Diana rocks her feminine nature, while also being able to pick up a full tank in later scenes.

2. She is able to do all that fighting in wedges.

All those male superheroes are cool and all, but they do it all in their easy to walk in, flat shoes. That’s cool, but Wonder Woman does all that, and more, in wedges! Talk about badass and fashionable. She does not even stumble! She runs into battle, and takes on everyone, while also looking great in the process. Honestly, that so iconic in my eyes. If only I can do that. I barely look that good when I just go to class.

3. She leaves her comfort zone in order to do what is right.

Wonder Woman, or Diana, lived her entire life in Themyscira. She spent her whole life around the same women, training with them, learning with them, and becoming a part of them. However, when she knows that she would have to leave this all in order to save the world, she does. She leaves everything she grew up with, everything she was comfortable with, in order to help others. This is something I always found inspiring. It was also very eye-opening. Would I leave my comfort zone in order to help others?

4. She does not let her love interest define her as a character.

Often times in media, once a female character has been presented with a love interest, her whole life starts to revolve around her love for this interest. Of course, this is not accurate to real life, but that is how most female characters have come to be depicted. With Wonder Woman, this is different. Yes, she has her love interest of Steve Trevor, but that is not completely who she is. In all honesty, their romantic storyline hardly even takes the focus for too long within the film. It is only toward the end of the film in which we begin to see their love grow further.

5. She is loving, kind, and just.

Wonder Woman stands up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. She fights for those who need her help and does so without asking for anything in return. She lives her whole life helping the human race around her, even though they possess qualities that she does not approve of. She does this out of love and kindness, qualities that not a lot of people possess anymore. Therefore, Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero, and she always will be.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
