5 Reasons Why Sororities Are The Best

I believe I can speak for most girls that being involved in a sorority was one of the best parts about their college experience. There's something truly amazing and unique about being in a sisterhood full of people from different states and different grades, but being bonded together over so many things.

So, if you still aren't convinced about the awesomeness that is Greek Life, here's a list of the top five best things about being in a sorority:

1. From Bid Day to Graduation Day, everyone is always going to be super welcoming.

From the first day of joining my sorority, despite knowing barely anyone in my pledge class, every single girl was very kind and friendly. Flash-forward to now, and I'm still constantly making new friends with girls who I hadn't met yet. Sororities thrive on strong bonds, and every girl will make it their goal to have each member feel included and a part of the sisterhood.

2. The girls you grow close with will turn into your ultimate squad.

I know it's such an overused cliche, but honestly, yes these girls will become your future bridesmaids. They're the ones who will do late night Walmart runs with you or get a Wendy's frosty with you at 2am because you've been stressing over an exam for the past eight hours.

3. Going to functions and mixers.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Nearly every person I know openly (or secretly) enjoys making themselves get hot or dressing up in fun, cute outfits for themed parties. And if you're a member of Greek Life, you get to do this at least once a month.

4. Philanthropies.

In all seriousness, Philanthropies are actually really cool ways of giving back to society and being a part of something bigger. And each sorority and fraternity has a unique National Charity, connecting the ones from Clemson to the ones all the way in Tennessee.

5. The best years of your life will be because of the best people in it.

It's a well known fact, girls in sororities are the biggest cheerleaders and encouragers of each other. Even towards those they don't even know! But just in my own personal experience, I have had some of the nicest things said to me from girls I had only met twice.

All this to say, Sorority Girls are some of the greatest girls.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
