Do you consider yourself an edgy person? Are you looking to upgrade your look with an adventurous piercing? Look no further than these five suggestions, all of which I have had, or intend to have.
1. Septum piercing.
I had this one for a short time and, even though I took it out to humor my mother, I loved it! The septum jewelry can be flipped inside your nose if your workplace does not condone out there body jewelry, and looks awesome at a concert. If you're not sure you want to make the leap, there are always fake septum rings to be found on websites like Etsy.
2. Nipple piercings.
You can do your own research on these babies, but allegedly they increase sensitivity, which is great if your body isn't easily stimulated. They also don't impede breast feeding, although my old waxer told me she took hers out when she had children (choking hazard). This is an awesome edgy pair of discreet piercings; I think they're awesome. However, your partner must avoid touching them for at least a solid four months post-piercing.
3. Industrial piercing.
I've had my industrial for almost a good five years now, yet somehow, people still ask me if it hurts! To be quite honest, the healing process took a while, but that's not unusual for cartilage piercings. I also learned a few tricks along the way, like to use tea tree oil if you get a little bump by the piercing. It'll make it go away in one to two weeks! This piercing is a great way to update your look because (if you have long hair) you can always hide it, but if not, it's not too crazy and you can always replace the bar with two studs at work!
4. Triple forward helix piercing.
Depending on your pain tolerance, you can get anywhere from one to three (maybe more) piercings on your forward helix. This is one set of piercings I intend to invest in. And, yes, a piercing is an investment. Not money-wise necessarily, but you are investing your time and energy into caring for the wound until it has healed.
5. The conch piercing.
Although pretty far down my list, the conch piercing is another goal of mine. Again, it's one of those piercings that can easily be tested with a fake piece of jewelry, and you'll be able to see if it's a good fit for your ear anatomy!
