Being raised in the south, I have grown up in the outdoors. As a young girl, my dad would take me hunting and that was our time to bond. As a family, my mom, my dad, and I would go fishing and make a family day out of it. I still do these things with my parents, and even my grandparents, after almost 20 years. My parents and grandparents also grew up in the outdoors, and they have a love for being outdoors more than indoors.
When going hunting or fishing, it is a time to get away from all of the stresses of the world. It is a time to get away and not think about work or school. To go in the woods is so relaxing and quiet. It gives you time to gather your thoughts and just catch a breath.
There are many people that have been raised in the south that have these same views. Some days you just need to go out into the country where there are no distractions. Working and going to school is a vital part of surviving in the real world, but it is also vital to escape from all of the worries of life some times.
For the creators of Fish Hippie, they love to celebrate the times in which people are able escape the real world and just get a little time for themselves. Fish Hippie is about being able to find a balance between work and play. The company loves for people to be able to find their “inner fish hippie.” Fish Hippie sells products that help people “drift off course.” They sell things from t-shirts, to wine, to different accessories. All of their products represent some sort of outdoor activity.
I am happy to announce that I am a Fish Hippie Drifter. Throughout the next year, I will be planning events throughout the year to promote the products of Fish Hippie. I will be coordinating events on the Mississippi State University campus and other places as well. At these events, I will have Fish Hippie products that I will be handing out for free.
Let’s be honest who does not like free stuff? I know for a fact every person on a college campus goes crazy for free stuff. I'm so excited to be showing everyone at MSU how important it is to sometimes “drift off course.”
