Your First Week As A College Freshman, Told By Tyra Banks
Boston Magazine

It's your first day of classes as a college Freshman. You feel so...fresh! You survived orientation, successfully convinced your roommates that you weren't a loser in high school, and made all your friends at home super jealous with your incredible snapchat stories highlighting how much fun you're having. Now it's time to buckle down and get started with classes. Let's allow the star of America's Next Top Model show us how it's done.

1. Waking up extra early on your first day to ensure that you won't be late to class, but then trying to act casual.

Oh my class doesn't start for another 2 hours? I had no idea...

2. When you get lost on your way to class.

3. But then trying to play it off like you're still cool as you make a U-turn of shame.

4. And the first time you make it to class without getting lost, you feel like a superstar.

"I put a map of the school on my phone so I won't look like a loser."

5. When you thought you were smart until the professor started teaching.

Lol...whut.

6. When the professor assigns a lot of work on the first day.

7. When you're FaceTime-ing your friends from high school without headphones and they start to tell an embarrassing story about you.

8. Trying to flirt with people you just met.

No this is totally natural and not...awkward at all.

9. Trying to find the perfect thing to wear for the first freshman get together.

"No but seriously does this look cute?"

10. Skyping with your family and realizing how much you miss them.

11. And realizing that there's so much about home that you never appreciated.

Maybe you're wishing you didn't ignore all those texts from your parents in high school.

12. But ultimately, you're ready to come out of your shell and be yourself.

13. Because you're so pumped that this is your new home.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
