To My Future Boyfriend

I am waiting patiently for you...

As a girl with no relationship experience, I will fully admit to not knowing much when it comes to relationships. I give advice based on how I would want to be treated, but that's the best I can do for you. I do, however, know how I want to be treated and I know that nobody is perfect, but I still expect the best treatment from somebody. Now I'm not saying that they have to fill a list of things I want, but if they are genuinely a good person and they treat me with respect, that is what I strive for.

Now to my future boyfriend, I'm gonna tell you honestly that I can be a little difficult sometimes. I'm a little too stubborn, a little too sassy and I have a hard time trusting others. So, at times I may just annoy you to death, but if you're patient with me you will see another side. While I can be frustrating, I care so much about my friends and family that I would do anything for them to make their life just a little bit easier. My friends and family will always be a number one priority to me, so if you hate them this obviously won't work out.

I may not trust you in the beginning, but once you've earned my trust, you have earned it completely. If you break my trust, you're going to have a really difficult time earning it back. However, if you've earned it, you don't have to worry about me being the overly jealous girlfriend cause I know that you wouldn't break my trust or my heart.

One thing that will drive you crazy is probably how sassy/honest I get at times. When I don't get enough sleep I turn into a cranky bear and any attempt to cheer me up could turn into a disaster. Eventually, I'll get out of my cranky mood and apologize for anything I might have said and if you don't forgive me I'll probably get all whiny and sad. I mean part of having a relationship with a girl is dealing with the mood swings, right?

Furthermore, I am super competitive about some things but totally non-competitive about others. You wanna win playing basketball? That's fine with me, but trying to outsmart me just because you're a man ain't gonna go over so well. Especially if you try to tell me that you know more about accounting/business and you don't have any information to back you up. I will debate you like no other and one of us will end up sleeping on the couch and being pouty.

So, there are many things I will admit to having flawed in my personality and I'm so excited to learn about yours and love them anyways. Every person is a little bit quirky, you just have to find your kind of quirky.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
