We all know how finals week goes. We commit to studying and actually finishing strong, but the reality is we hardly ever achieve such greatness. Flying by the seat of your pants is the motto for this week. Most of you (if not all) will go through this vicious cycle before the week is over. Yes, even you studious ones.
1. Trying to procrastinate the coming week.
Maybe if you do not think about finals week or do any of your study guides, it will not actually come.
2. Realizing that the week is coming and it is coming fast.
This can be one of the hardest moments of your week because you knew it would happen, but not at this rate.
3. Melt down round #1.
The first one is always the hardest. Cry it out and scream in your pillow. It will be okay.
4. Trying to remember what classes you are enrolled in.
This can be tricky...especially if you never show up.
5. Figuring out the days of each final.
Just read a Chinese book. It is way easier than trying to read the sheet that says all the dates and times of each final.
6. Melt down round #2.
Everyone has at least two. Often times in the second meltdown you will ask yourself if studying is worth it. Another likely question is “what am I even doing with my life?”
7. Attempting to fill out the study guides.
This depends on whether or not your professors were nice enough to give you study guides. This step will probably not happen until last minute.
8. Taking a four day break to watch Netflix.
But, let's be real, it's more like 10 years.9. Melt down round #3.
This may be your last melt down, depending on the number of finals you have.
10. Starting to curse your lack of perseverance.
You start asking yourself why you didn’t do X,Y or Z, but most of the time it is all three.
11. Regretting the sleep cycle that comes around in every class.
We all fall asleep in classes....it is college.
By "study" date I really mean "do everything but study" date.
13. Staying up all night cramming.
This is a year round thing.
14. Saying your last prayer before you take the final.
" God, I don’t know any of this. Help me." If I’m being honest, I’ve said that prayer more than I would like to admit.
15. The walk of shame after the final.
This does not need an explanation.
