Professors always decide to pile on the assignments due the last week of class.
Even if you've already have 14 tests and three papers, they'll add a couple more due in 5 days.
They also like to wait until the last week to hand back all of the grades that they kept forgetting to give back all semester.
Up to this point you thought you could still get an A, but now you're aware that you'd need about 7890/100 on your final exam to accomplish that.
Then, you find out that your friend only has one final.
Don't brag. We hate you for that, because the rest of us will be stuck in the library for days.
You want to be celebrating the holiday season, but you have to study.
How can you celebrate when you're dying inside thinking about all the work you have to do??
And then, your worst nightmare: the last minute email from your professor.
"In addition to multiple choice, there will also be short answer and essay questions on the final. Have a great day!" Ugh.
That kid in your class that actually has their life together decides to email the class list and offer to sell you their study guide.
Hmm, they are really smart. But is someone else's two pages of work really worth 20 bucks?
Sometimes, you end up falling asleep and not finishing the last half of that textbook that you needed to read by tomorrow.
Now is the time to start praying to whatever God it is that you think will be able to help you on your orgo exam.
By now, your parents are wondering if you're okay.
They either haven't heard from you in weeks or they have five missed calls and two desperate, half - crying voicemails asking if it's okay to drop out of college.
You're stressed, so you decide to attend the review session your Professor is so graciously having the day before your final.
However, the only thing the review session teaches you is how much you don't know.
You realize you haven't eaten a real meal in days.
You and your roommate have been living off of coffee and peanut butter, but fatigue and hunger are finally catching up to you.
Now it's 11 pm the night before an 8 am final and you have the urge to email your Professor for help.
They said to email all questions, at any time, but were they serious? You need to find the answer to this by tomorrow morning... so you resort to google. There must be something on the internet to help.
Your hope of achieving your ideal grades feels like a pipe dream right about now.
Maybe you wanted straight As, or just all Bs, or trying not to fail; regardless it feels a bit hopeless at this point.
So you show up, give it your all, and then wait anxiously for a few weeks to receive your grades right before the holidays.
Best gift ever, or the worst? Only time will tell.
But hey, you're fortunate enough to attend college right?
At this point, you can start looking at the bright side. You are getting a college education and you are done with finals (for now)! So what if your grades weren't perfect?
Now its time to relax. But don't worry, the stress of finals will be back again right before summer break!
