The most stressful time of year is right around the corner—finals week. Those dreadful days are just a few weeks away, so let the meltdowns and crying fits commence, no judging. Who better to explain all these emotions and thoughts than Adele herself.
The weekend prior to finals week you have no time to do anything but work on notecards and start reading everything you haven't read for the class all semester. Studying all day and night has really been messing with your head and now you're just going crazy...
After all the hard work and preparation, there comes a rare moment that makes it all worth it. The moment when you actually know everything there is to know about the final.
Even after all the studying, you still have that awful feeling in your gut that you missed out on something important. Then you get in class to take the final and there is material on it that the professor didn't put on the study guide.
Before you can stand up out of your chair and leave, the professor mentions that the final is mostly multiple choice. There is much rejoicing.
Then, when you are finally cooled off from thinking about putting up a bad review about your professor on Ratemyproffessor.com—about three-quarters of the way through the final, this happens—you start thinking about life and if all of this is worth it (don't worry we've all been there).
After you finish the final, you try not to show your true emotions and you turn around to wish your classmate good luck.
As you are walking back to your dorm or apartment, you call your folks to distract you from thinking about that final you just took. Then your parents ask how the final went, and all you can respond with is this:
Later that day, when you're done venting to your parents, your friend from class texts you to say that the final was really easy and you do everything you can not to freak out a little.
The next day, you are off to your next final and you get to the classroom in just enough time to do a quick study with the notecards you worked all night on. You open your book bag and realize that you left all the notecards at home. Since you are in a room with other students, your reaction to this can't cause a potential meltdown scene.
After a few weeks, you get online to see what you got on the final, and it turns out that you did better than you thought. Nothing can ever beat this feeling.
All you can think about is how much time you spent freaking out about the finals and how silly it wa,s because you knew that you had it in you the whole time. You rocked it.
So, just remember—finals week is just another week. Don't let it stress you out to the max, you got this!
