Finals week. It's just awful. The millions of tests, papers, and projects to turn in before you are allowed to enjoy Christmas with your family is almost unbearable. Who better than the Grinch to portray finals week, being as he hates just about everything.

1. When you look at your finals schedule and wonder why professors create cumulative exams.

Cumulative exams are just cruel. Especially when it's finals week and you have four more exams to take within a five-day span. This just makes you question everything, and have just about as much hate at the Grinch.

2. When you have so many things to do but simply cannot find the motivation.

It seems like an accomplishment if you create a schedule for yourself right? Although your schedule may lack real progress towards any type of studying. You might just need to add in some sleeping or eating time before any real studying gets done.

3. When you convince yourself to go out with friends.

Sometimes you just need to reward yourself for all the hard work you've accomplished. Or maybe you've accomplished nothing but still need a break. All of those assignments will still be waiting for you in the morning.

4. When you need to find a killer outfit for a class presentation.

Trying on outfits before that big presentation just like the Grinch. Maybe don't steal your wardrobe from the man right outside your house. Also, you should probably actually end up going, unlike the Grinch himself.

5. Eating. Always eating.

The stress of finals alone might cause you to binge eat. Or eating simply because you want to avoid other responsibilities. Either way, a little brain food might help you continue your studying.

6. When you seriously contemplate leaving the house every morning.

Getting out of bed every morning can be a struggle. Waking up for those 8 AMs are seriously horrendous. Why even consider leaving the house?

7. The fear before checking your final grades.

You know if you fail that final, you'll most likely fail the course. Maybe just hold off on checking your grades. Out of sight, out of mind right?

8. When finals are finally over.

Finals are over. You can breathe. And maybe actually enjoy some Christmas family time before next semester begins. Christmas is the best time of year, so spread some holiday cheer and get into that festive mood now that the pain of school is done (for now).

Finals week sucks. Everyone knows that. But you can get through it and think about all of the holiday cookies you're going to consume in just a few short days!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
