Well, it's that time of year again.
Christmas lights are being hung, Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is everyone's favorite song, stores are decked out in the holiday spirit, and college students are stressing about their upcoming final exams. Whether you pushed off studying to the last minute or were actually productive over Thanksgiving break, you are still freaking out a little bit. Only two to three weeks stand between you and home, vacation, relaxation, family, friends, and of course, the family pet. But these weeks are some of the most important not only for your GPA but for your self-confidence and mental health. So, to help keep your sanity intact, here are some golden retrievers who look like they have some idea of what we are going through.
Productivity. You head to the library, you sit down, you take out your books, and you're going to get stuff done. Absolutely nothing can stop you.
Two pages in.Alright. Two pages is a lot. There's a ton of information in there. Might as well close your eyes for a moment to just let it all set in.
Getting your life together. Your break is over. You're ready to start studying again and get yourself together to get the "A" on that paper or exam. But then you realize it is going to be a bit more difficult than expected.
Typing the paper. While you may have some good ideas, you're stressed, and the words and information don't flow as well as they should. You're going with the "type and hope for the best" method. And sometimes that "best" might be your professor's dog eating your paper.
Calling it a night. Alright. It's only Saturday. You have time before your exam. You'll get up early tomorrow and find your favorite study spot and live there until your first exam.
The wake-up call. There is no such thing as too much coffee. Especially during finals.
Wanting to be done. You've been studying for what seems like forever. You want to leave the library, but your conscience is telling you that you can't just yet. You're only 5 percent through studying, even though you've been there for over five hours.
Wanting food. Throughout studying, taking exams, and typing papers, you get very hungry. The stress eating is unreal. Luckily, with all of the campus sponsored study breaks, you'll be able to find free food to satisfy your stress cravings pretty easily.
Making the trek to the exam. If you go to school in the north, this is what your walk to your exam looks like. Between navigating the way through the snow and stress, you might become a lost puppy on the way to your exam.
The post-exam nap. One down, a few more to go. Might as well kick back and relax to celebrate the accomplishment.
Not wanting to get up. It's been a long few days, you have the right to sleep for as long as you need before you go and study for your last few exams.
The feeling of defeat. There's just no hope for any success. You can try, but you'd probably be better off just staying where you are.
BEING DONE. It's been a long week, but you made it. Go celebrate, you deserve it.
