Finals Week As Told By "Flavor Of Love"
NyMag

Exams are coming up for college students and we are all in a rush to finish out the semester strong. Similar to the contestants in "Flavor of Love," we all have our struggles during these few final weeks. However, with enough dedication, we can all come out on top. For those of us who remember one of the most iconic shows on television, let's reminisce back on some of our favorite moments as we prepare for finals.

1. Trying to figure out what exactly you need to do to pass the exam:

You need to know every detail, but soon. You have a lot of studying to do.

2. Sitting in class when you don't know any of the content:

You're unsure and naive, just like Pumkin.

3. Denying that you could fail your exam:

You know that you can pass this with no help whatsoever.

4. Acceptance that you might actually fail your exam:

You might as well hit the books while you can.

5. Questioning why you had to take this class anyway:

Do I really need to learn about geology when I'm studying to be a school counselor?

6. Getting pumped to study:

Get excited now because it will be painful later.

7. Studying and remembering everything that you learned this semester:

We're so proud that you can retain all of that information.

8. After studying for hours and forgetting how to do basic things:

You probably need to just nap for a few hours.

9. When exam day comes up and you talk to colleagues before the exam:

You're more worried about your own grade than theirs.

10. Going into your exam and kicking its butt:

You knew that you could do it! It felt as iconic as Pumkin and New York's elimination fight.

11. Celebrating the end of finals week and the beginning of summer:

There are no worries for three whole months! (Unless you're taking summer classes.)

Study hard and I wish you good luck during exams!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
