With the most dreaded week of the year just around the corner, finals week, most of us go through the same traumatic experiences. We prepare ourselves for the sleepless nights, the almost disgusting amounts of caffeine we put into our bodies, and of course waiting till the last minute to do everything. You’d think by now we'd learn to not wait till the last minute to cram everything in. But somehow, it seems to be a habit we can’t shake. These 9 songs perfectly describe the different stages of finals week.
1. Focus – Arianna Grande
“I know what I came to do... I'm over here working day and night.” As finals week approaches, we know what we have to do. We plan our days and nights out and tell ourselves we’ve got this. We’re going to ace this test.

“We gon' party all night, no sleep.” Although we wish we were getting no sleep due to partying all night, we’re actually in the library getting no sleep.

“Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days, when our momma sang us to sleep but not we’re stressed out.” We try to think back to a time before we were running off 2 hours of sleep and caffeine. Must be nice.
4. I'm Just a Kid - A Simple Plan
"I'm just a kid, and life is a nightmare. I'm just a kid, I know that it's not fair." After a while of studying, you start to pity yourself and ask questions. Why did I take these hard class? Why does my life suck? Why is college so hard?
5. Blank Space – Taylor Swift
“You look like my next mistake.” The moment of truth, getting handed the test. You yell yourself it’ll be fine, then you realize you don’t even know the answer to the first question.
6. Oops I did it again – Brittany spears
The title of the song says it all. Leaving the test, the only thing we can do is say oops. It’s fine though, right? This definitely isn’t the first test we’ve bombed, or the last…
7. In the End – Linking Park
“I tried so hard, and got so far…. But in the end it doesn’t even matter.” Although my grade probably doesn’t show it, I swear I actually did study for this one. Probably shouldn’t have waited till the last minute though.
8. Sorry – Justin Bieber
“Is it too late now to say sorry?" I would just like to apologize to my teacher, myself, and most of all my GPA. I’m sorry I let you down.
9. A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got) - Fergie ft. Q-Tip, GoonRock
"A little party never killed nobody, so we gon’ dance until we drop." Failed or passed, it's time to celebrate. Finals week is over and it's time to party!
