Finals Week According To 'One Tree Hill'

I don't want to be anything other than done with finals

Finals Week According To 'One Tree Hill'

With the good comes the bad, and with every syllabus week comes the long anticipated finals week. It consists of seven to ten days of no sleep, lots of tears and pretty much every assignment you have neglected to complete the past three months. If you aren't stressed out during finals week there's a good chance you either don't attend college or you're just really on top of your studies all semester – and if it's the latter, you can't sit with us in the library.

1. When your professor announces that it will be impossible to study an entire semester's worth of material the night before the final.

2. All you want is to sleep and watch Netflix but you don't have time for anything other than writing papers.

3. The inner struggle you face when you have to decide between reading an entire book in one night or reading a free summary from a sketchy website that is 100% inaccurate.

4. When you tell yourself you're going to take a ten minute nap but end up not waking up until the next day.

5. Inspirational texts from your mom become your main source of motivation.

6. Calculating the lowest possible grade you could get on your final to pass the class. And it's a 99.

7. When the professor who ruined your GPA asks you to give them a good end of course evaluation.

8. That heartbreaking moment when you realize that nothing your professor said was going to be on the final is actually on the final.

9. When you finally come to terms with the fact that you are going to fail your final and there's nothing you can do about it.

10. Watching all your friends leave campus and go home for the summer meanwhile you still have a Friday afternoon final.

11. But no matter how rough your week is you know that it'll be over soon and you will have three months to do absolutely nothing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
