The Final Push
lovethispic.com

Well, folks we’ve made it this far now it’s time for the big push. We are quickly approaching the end of our second semester and are all ready for summer to be here. This is the toughest time of the semester for a lot of us because besides the possible need to get your grades up before taking finals, we have many more distractions in our faces. The weather is getting warmer, the sun is out longer, we are thinking of when the next darty is and what our summer plans will be, and the desire to study, do homework and write papers is just not there. So, I’m here to say you got this. You can make it these last few weeks and finish this semester with a bang.

Now this doesn’t mean you have to stay in the library every hour of the day to cram or finish that paper. It’s all about time management. Make a schedule or to do list of everything you need to get done for that day and write out all your due dates so you can see how much time you actually have to finish them. Now I know your staring at this list probably thinking “oh God”, but don’t panic; breathe you will get through this. Now on this “to do list” you have to make sure you put an important item: time for yourself .

Trust me I know some of you get that feeling you get when your friends want to go out and have fun for a bit and you may debate going or may feel guilty just at the thought of going because you have to study, but from past experiences I’m saying go. You need to take that “me” time and time with your friends because even if you are unsure about going it will help you relax and forget about work for a while. So, go to the darty on Saturday, or plan a day trip to do something adventurous with your friends even if it means grabbing a cup of coffee down the street. You have to treat yourself every once in a while, I mean hey you made it this far, right? Because the one thing I’ve learned this past semester is that right now you think the grades are all that matters, but the truth is once you leave school that test you didn’t do too hot on and that one time your GPA dropped a little is not going to matter once you hit the real world. What will matter is how you treat people, the experiences you’ve had in life and how you plan to use both those experiences and your personality to make it out there as an adult (I know scary right ). So, if your struggling right now during this last push Stop. Breath. You got this! Believe in yourself! Do work, relax and let your mind and soul grow. Good luck everyone!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
