Final Exams Can Be Stressful

During your years you spend at college you are going to have to take final exams most likely two times a semester. Final exams can be a stressful time for any college student whether you are a freshman or you are going to be graduating soon. Although many students look forward to final exams because it means that it is either summer or the beginning of winter break there are those who are not looking forward to finals. This is a time during the year where students are studying their hardest to make sure they pass all of their classes so it looks good on their transcripts. While there are those students who usually wait to study for finals the day before the exam it will not help you because you may have to study for more than on exam that day. Some students when studying for final exams like to do study groups with their friends and make sure each other knows the material. Even though finals are stressful for college students there are different activities you can do with a group or alone to help you de-stress.

Sometimes if you are preparing for final exams different activities committees will hold different events to get your mind of finals and studying and more on relaxing and having fun. Although this is a time where many students begin to stress, they do not realize that they are able to have fun and not think of finals for a few weeks. Although they may be doing activities to help relieve them of stress it can also distract them from doing their finals prep. With that being said during this time it is most important for students to be focusing on their work and making sure if they have questions to meet with their professors and to talk about what is challenging and what they do not understand.

During final exams week there is sometimes more on the line for some students than there are with others. For example if you are in the spring semester and nearing graduation there are those seniors who are almost able to graduate but they need their final exams to help boost their GPA. Therefore it all depends on the situation you are in credit wise. Even though some may take it more seriously than others, finals should be taken seriously because it can help you pass a class and get a good grade if you are on the cusp of passing or it can disappoint you by giving you a failing grade if you are near the failing mark. Therefore no matter what, whether you are a freshman going into your first ever final exams week or a senior going into one of their last final exam weeks you should always want to study your hardest to make sure you are prepared and hope to pass.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
