I can guarantee you that "Dangerous Woman" by Miss Ariana Grande is on at least one of them. Yes, the girl who licked the donuts (let it go).
Does this song repetition get annoying? Yes.
Will you still screech the lyrics even though you really have no idea what the actual lyrics are? Hell yes.
Since this is my first article, I'm just going to flat out say it. I am an Arianator (an Ariana Grande fan base member). I have been an adoring stan of this woman since the first moment I saw her sing in the Victorious episode with Liz Gillies. You know the one I'm talking about. Don't even try to fool yourself. If you really have convinced yourself you don't know what musical bop I'm referring to, please google "Give It Up Ariana Liz" and thank me later.
Recently the Grammy-nominated pop sensation recently released her third album, "Dangerous Woman." This album was brilliant. The first 15 seconds of the introduction song, "Moonlight," legitimately made me scream in my car. Ariana is widely known for her whistle tones and her music team has always utilized them for the sake of not many artist do. Dangerous Woman steps away from the whistle tones and brings the artist's, what I feel to be, true voice and vocal control to life. We are served with well-handed runs, beautiful riffs, soft lyrics, and collaborations that will leave you speechless. Ariana Grande has dropped the bubblegum pop and reached for a much more mature style. As much as I know we all hate the stereotype of "I'm not that little girl anymore" attitude, Ariana serves it right in this album. I may be a little biased, but come on.
What really amazes me is how Grande was so kind to us with the album release that each day leading up to the album she gifted us with a song a day. At that time, my little heart could not take the lovely upbeat and lyrical genius that blessed my ears. If Ariana's vocals were enough, we were also given the sounds of Nicki Minaj, Future, Lil Wayne, and Macy Gray. These collaborations were all I needed to survive until the full album release.
Following the album's official release on May 20, 2016, I realized that we were shared with all but just a small few songs and that was something I was sadly not happy with. I don't know what I expected, I mean the girl released so many songs that it would make sense. Unfortunately the album that little ole me awaited, what felt like forever, for had been watered down like a soda with too many ice cubes. The shock factor of the music went straight over my head and I felt a tad empty. As mentioned before, I was ecstatic with the gifts of the song releases prior to the actual album but here I am. Wishing I would have just waited for the whole album to be in my hands rather than listening to bits at a time. No matter that, I was very proud of the success of "Dangerous Woman" reaching No. 1 in many countries, unfortunately not the US. If you haven't given this album a listen, don't be afraid to buy this golden Ariana era album on iTunes and listen!
Ariana, if you're reading this, I love you. You did it! I'm feeling a little more dangerous now.
